tonight in photos.
although the photos just can't capture the whole story.
location: expo center for indoor
austin fooball.
story behind this picture: this is where nathan spent the entire game.
in the end zone waiting for a stray football.
in the end zone, practicing his seat hopping to improve his chances
for gathering attention from the opposing team.
in the end zone, making friends with the away team by
waving, hanging & cheering.
in the end zone, where he was an inch away from actually
getting a game football.
in the end zone, where steve and i watched from afar.
blessings from above.
out of no where, # 11 of the austin turfcats,
d. wallace - ran down the field and tossed
d. wallace - ran down the field and tossed
nathan a team shirt - not a tee shirt.
perhaps he was watching from afar,
perhaps he remembers nathan from a prior game,
perhaps he stood out as being the only fan in the end zone,
whatever the reason, thank you jesus,
nathan is a new man wearing a new jersey.
after the game, coach kerrie came to chat, heard the story, pulled out his phone,
dialed d. wallace from his speed dial and left an appreciative thank you
message from nathan.
this was of course after nathan had the shirt autographed
after the game.
thank goodness for sharpie marker in the purse.
trick i learned from sarah.
heres to another everyday memory.
families x 3 hanging, chatting & watching riley
do the "dance".
official summer vacation day #1.
filled with farmers markets, whole foods,
runs, lawn work, banana republic sales,
hot dogs on the grill, five months worth of pictures
ordered and ifl.
happy weekend.
this is the only piece of clothing nathan has ever hung up on an
actual hanger.
this was what nathan was thankful for tonite at bedtime prayers.
