nothing like a case of the flu to make you appreciate the simple things in life. like standing up and not wanting to lay back down. the joy of the morning cup of coffee. making lunches. taking a shower. getting dressed. we are back up and running and the house is still standing but showing signs of neglect over a couple days. the laundry is overflowing. the fridge is bare but much easier to clean.

simple observations for today -

• make sure the chime on the dryer is on when you put 800 count Egyptian cotton sheets in or the wrinkles will overwhelm you
• the bathroom floor was just cleaned and now it already shows a sign of use and i haven't even put the cleaning caddy away
• nothing is better than a blue sky and the front door wide open as you scrub the foyer floor
• colins morning story from the tub - today was about race cars (we went to a daytona 500 party on sunday at mike and shannons house)
• sending the boys off to the bus with a fun line for each - nathan please dont blow up any bathroom toilets today ( boys are obsessed with this room in the house - it brings laughter just mentioning it) and justin no hanging out with ms. crain today (the principal)
• the blessing of a leisure grocery shopping event
• love it that steve calls me every morning on his ride into work
• colin is finally feeling and looking better - poor dude - his little rash on his face really upset him
• a bunch of thank you notes to create for all colins wonderful birthday presents

beginnings. gotta start somewhere.

everyday is really a new beginning. a new day. a new attitude. a new resolution. a new peace. creating life. creating memories. loving the everyday. life is a daily memory, a daily treasure to have, to hold, to treasure, to thank God for.
