we are baking our way through brownie mixes in search

of the best boxed version.

who knew there were so many different brands & variations?

we mix, stir, spread & bake.

we patiently let them cool.

we "masterchef" each pan.

we record on a scale of 1-10.

another new lego gun.

{its better than playing video games all day!}

the annual trip to the boys memory boxes.

today we emptied out backpacks & kitchen drawers.

today we cleared off desk tops & cleaned out closets.

today we gathered all the treasures of the past school year.

we sorted. we tossed. we organized.

we took 365 days of memories and stored them in page protectors.

one more binder added to each box.

one more school year behind us.

heres to collecting new memories!

two completely different books but i enjoyed them both.

one fiction. one non-fiction.

the best sight in the world

for a house filled with teenage boys 

on summer break

with no internet access!

after 6 phone calls to time warner over 2 weeks,

 1 new modem &

1 long awaited technician appointment.....

FINALLY 2 TIME WARNER trucks are

parked outside our house.

we hold our breath.

we gingerly turn on the computer.

WE HAVE INTERNET!!

we are back to life.
