we are going for the gold in early morning departures this year.

6:57am crossed into a new time zone.

watches and van clocks manually changed.

phones turned off & on to reset to the new time.

we are on the road in the dark of the night as 

5:05am lights up the van interior.

the boys, the fish and the tomtom are all packed.

we make it to hendersonville, tennessee at 5:37pm

and crashed with a pizza and the olympics.

the alarm is set.

vacation day number one rolls to an end.

today was colins last day of math camp.

one year of math in 8 days.

nice job colin!

extra video time and $40.00 award was presented to him

for completing camp and homework without complaining.

not easy to go to school during the summer vacation

but he did it.

we are proud of you!

just finished this in a couple days.

just enjoyed the well written details of this surgeons

journey through residency & life at the same time.

torture for 3 boys:

loading up the car and spend the day driving the back roads of texas

without video games!

today we filled the tank and the cooler and grabbed

a texas map.

we found ourselves at the enchanted rock with flip flops on.

we found ourselves walking the streets of fredericksburg.

we hit the pacific war museum gift shop - too late for tour.

we went to the candy bar.

we drove through johnson city & waved to LBJ.

we explored new towns & roads.

we prepped ourselves for the big ride today

and we all survived!
