summer is officially here.

memorial day morning at the pool with donuts.

memorial afternoon relaxing.

memorial evening sleepovers & movie marathons.

we are starting the summer as total relaxed battery charged bums!

outdoor basketball games, roasted marshmellows &

bbq's at sarah and troys.

with peanuts in the shell, a burger & a blanket.

time passes so fast that i'm going to

just enjoy now.

i just finished scrapbooking october 2010.

i'm getting closer to real time scapbooking.

heres to keeping up with the pace.

its that time of the year.

the days left of school countdown.

after today, we are at 8 more days.

the backbacks are overflowing with a years worth of treasures.

the clean blank page journals of august are returned & filled with words, sentences & stories.

the pencil boxes are returned with half eatten crayons;

their wrapper names long gone along with their sharpened tips.

their folders are filled with incomplete homework assignments,

unfinished extra credit assignments and art class masterpieces crushed to fit in a pocket.

its that time of year.

and i treasure, read, scan and save every memory!

in our attempts to qualify for mother-of-the-year award,

sarah and i decided to take the boys on a field trip sunday to

the reptile expo at dell diamond.

when we saw people walking out with boxes of live crickets,

we should of turned around but for the boys sakes,

we carried on.

a minor detail i didn't realize - expo & zoo are not interchangeable.

zoo = visit reptiles.

expo = buy reptiles.

these people were here to purchase snakes, scorpions & tranchulas!

in attempts to qualify for mother-of-the-year award,

i brought nathan to this expo.

sorry nathan - i forgot about your fear/phobia of bugs, spiders & snakes.

it's a middle child thing.

sorry again nathan.

i now understand why you are not in any of the following photos.

i now understand why you didn't want to hold any of the reptiles.
