owen is ready to play nerf with his cousins!
i have a funny feeling that the nerf family shooters
will be borrowed by the older family members
to use at crystal beach this summer.
i have a funny feeling that there are practice jam sessions
occurring now in clarence to prepare.
i have a funny feeling that owen didn't even ask for
his new found toy.
i have a funny feeling that hannah perhaps
might not care for this new noisy toy.
i have a funny feeling that dad is getting
pretty good with his new iphone & sharing pictures.
happy tuesday.
go sabers!

4.25.2011

"Lisa Kogan is a 49-year-old single woman who maintains that every human being deserves a great mattress, a comfortable pair of shoes, and a very smart shrink-and that no one has grown a decent tomato since 1963. She used to think the world wasn't all that complicated, but along came AIDS and crack and Rush Limbaugh, and she had to grow up. Still, she's nostalgic for that time when you had to walk across a room to change channels and there was no such thing as a spy satellite capable of spotting a pre-cancerous mole on her inner thigh.
In SOMEONE WILL BE WITH YOU SHORTLY, Kogan grapples with issues big (her 7-year-old daughter, Julia, and the 8,000 miles that separate them from Julia's father) and small (her recent apartment renovation, which consisted of turning over the sofa cushions, and then realizing that they looked better the other way) with the self-deprecating humor-and deep appreciation for what really matters-that have made her so beloved by her legions of fans. Here is a book for everyone who has ever been frightened by superstores, lunch meat, or ambivalent men (not necessarily in that order), but believes that life is a fragile bit of luck well worth living."
{above quote from here.}
just finished laughing and reading this book today.
this was a one day book filled with laugh out loud lines.
its a pick up and read a page here & there kinda book.
its a reality-everyday-humor book.
its worth the read.
it will make you smile.
it will make you laugh.
it will make you see the funny side in everyday stress.

random notes on today:
the eagle landed & went north.

translation:
mom & dad safely arrived at austin bergstrom international airport at 12:05 pm with 148.5 pounds of checked luggage and 3 carry-on bags which we promptly loaded into the honda minivan, complete with a packed snack cooler with chilled champagne, diet pepsi, room temperature spring water, planters cashews and green grapes while we crossed the hay fields and cattle polka dotted countryside on the 130 toll to the domain strip and drove past niemans, tiffanys, lilly and lucky, we parked and walked in the 90 degree warm day to our favorite patio at north for a welcome to austin lunch!

i'm catching up.
i feel like i'm always running.

i feel like i'm adding to my to-do list as fast as i check things off.
i feel like i live at the grocery store yet theres never anything to eat.
i feel like there should be frequent driver miles for
the number of times i drive to the two different schools each week.
this is life.
love it.
get your nikes on - i'm running with life.
